San Daniele Ham is recognised as a Designation of Protected Origin product, and can only be produced within the municipality of San Daniele, in Friuli Venezia Giulia.Our focus on high-quality PDO products has enabled us at Salumificio Pedrazzoli to produce this exclusive specialty: Prosciutto San Daniele PDO BIO.From our own organic farms, the finest animals are brought to the Pedrazzoli factory to be slaughtered. The organic haunches are then sent to the small factory in San Daniele, where, after a maturation period of at least 14 months, they are branded as wonderful organic San Daniele Hams PDO. Our organic San Daniele Ham PDO is made from the haunches of heavy pigs, born, reared and slaughtered in Italy, and fed according to the San Daniele PDO regulations, in line with Community organic regulations.
RECOMMENDED PAIRINGS: Excellent in paninis or on open sandwiches; best sliced finely with a food cutter, we recommend pairing it with pickled vegetables or with other strongly flavoured foods. The best wine pairing is white and dry, not too aromatic.
